Harsh statement from Trabzonspor after Galatasaray match! 'It has become gangrenous in Turkish football for years...'

Derby excitement took place in the 16th week of the Süper Lig.

League leaders Galatasaray hosted Trabzonspor at home. Galatasaray won the breathtaking 7-goal match with a goal found in the final minutes, securing 3 points.

Trabzonspor Club released a harsh statement after the match.

In the statement from the Burgundy-Blue club, which called on Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, the phrase "Solve this problem that has become gangrenous in Turkish football for years at its root!" was included.

The statement made on the Burgundy-Blue club's website noted that Trabzonspor has repeatedly stated since the beginning of the season that Turkish football cannot progress with the current Central Referee Committee and that the serious errors made in matches will lead to great dangers.

Stating that Trabzonspor's name has never been associated with match-fixing, incentives, structures, or conflicts of interest in any period, the following was recorded:

"We have always wanted justice, not privilege. Today, we are warning clearly once again. The referees who try to manipulate society through football and those who manage them (!) have now become a 'national security issue' at the point we have reached! We know from experience that they lack values such as morality, honor, or virtue. If they already possessed these values, we would invite them to resign.

However, there is not even the slightest trace of these concepts! We call out to Turkish Football Federation President Mr. İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu once again: solve this problem that has become gangrenous in Turkish football for years at its root! We reiterate our call for the appointment of staff who know rights, law, and morality. This is no longer a matter of a team, colors, or a city. Turkish football is ending! Tomorrow will be too late."
