Following the appointment of Emre Belözoğlu as head coach at Fenerbahçe, the first rumor regarding a departure in squad planning has emerged. It has been suggested that one of the names whose future is in question at the yellow-navy club is Serbian right-back Ognjen Mimovic.
According to a report by Sabah, Belözoğlu is open to parting ways with players who are not in his future plans as he evaluates the current squad. In this context, it was stated that Mimovic is the first player whose departure could be on the agenda during the mid-season transfer window.

The 22-year-old footballer was transferred to Fenerbahçe from the Serbian representative Red Star Belgrade during the 2025 mid-season break. It was noted that the yellow-navy club paid a transfer fee of approximately 6.7 million euros for Mimovic and signed a contract with the player until June 30, 2029.
Having joined the squad with high expectations, Mimovic has not found a chance to play in official matches since his arrival at Fenerbahçe. It is claimed that the young right-back, who was also not preferred by previous head coaches, is almost certain to leave the team during the mid-season transfer process.
