The Central Referee Committee (MHK) shared a video on its official X account regarding the October seminar, following the investigation that shook the refereeing community and the resignations at the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
The post came shortly before the Süper Lig is set to resume with the 7th week matches following the international break. The opening match of the week in the league is expected to be played between Galatasaray and Kasımpaşa on Friday.
According to information from sources, high-level resignations also took place at the TFF following the investigation in which MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu and referee Yasin Kol were arrested. Due to the uncertainty within the committee, it was stated that the referee appointments for the week were made by Elite Referee Director Anthony Taylor.
The footage shared by the MHK included moments of referees participating in tests and field work. The committee announced that the seminar is continuing under Taylor's leadership and that the referees' physical data is being tracked with new sensors.
“The MHK October seminar continues with training and field work under the leadership of Anthony Taylor. All referees were successful in the SDS test conducted during the seminar. Data regarding the physical performance of the referees is also being collected and their development tracked using new sensors used in field work.”
The post was evaluated as an image-refreshing step for the refereeing community, which has been at the center of controversy due to recent developments.
