Sharp response from Dursun Özbek to Hacıosmanoğlu: 'Galatasaray hatred has reached its peak'

Galatasaray Sports Club President Dursun Özbek reacted sharply to the statements made by Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu. In his speech at a press conference, Özbek stated that Hacıosmanoğlu had committed a "rule violation" and made inconsistent statements regarding Galatasaray. Özbek expressed that Hacıosmanoğlu's remarks, such as "they listened like lambs," were harmful to Turkish football.

Stating that the negative result in the Monaco match would not affect their Champions League ambitions, Özbek said, "Our fans should know that the TFF is being managed with a hatred for Galatasaray." Emphasizing that Galatasaray is focused on the Champions League, he noted that they have set important goals in this process and have two matches remaining. Özbek expressed his confidence in the team and stated that Galatasaray would continue its journey in the Champions League.

Dursun Özbek alleged that TFF President Hacıosmanoğlu violated the principle of neutrality, particularly in the statements he made before the Monaco match. Özbek said that Hacıosmanoğlu's statements were intentional against Galatasaray and targeted the club, which has an important match on the path to the championship. Criticizing Hacıosmanoğlu, Özbek said, "You have actually wished for success for Monaco."

Stating, "We are trying not to descend to this level," Özbek noted that Turkish football needs a healthier environment for discussion.

At the end of the press conference, Dursun Özbek said that the TFF's "hateful" attitude toward Galatasaray had reached its peak. Özbek stated, "Even though we do not want to enter into a fight, the tension is increasing day by day due to the inconsistent and unfair decisions made by the TFF."
