The 'Big Four' report their debts to the KAP: Reached 30 billion liras

According to the financial status reports submitted by the clubs to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), as of August 31, 2023, the club with the highest debt was Galatasaray.

For the yellow-red club (Sportif AŞ), excluding the association and other related companies/parties, the total debt is 9.59 billion liras.

In the debt rankings, Fenerbahçe (Futbol AŞ) is in second place with 8.63 billion liras.

Beşiktaş (Futbol Yatırımları Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ) shows a debt of 7.05 billion liras.

Trabzonspor (Sportif Yatırım ve Futbol İşletmeciliği AŞ) is facing liabilities of 4.66 billion liras.

CLUB RECEIVABLES (ASSETS) ARE NOT EVEN HALF OF THE TOTAL DEBT

Against the clubs' total debt of 29.93 billion liras, the total receivables, excluding those from related parties (the association and affiliated companies), amount to 12.45 billion liras.

When looking at the tables in the context of the debt-receivable gap, Beşiktaş is the most indebted club. The black-and-white club has 1.78 billion liras in receivables against 7.05 billion liras in debt, resulting in a net debt-receivable gap of -5.27 billion liras.

Galatasaray, which has 4.6 billion liras in receivables against 9.59 billion liras in debt, has a net debt-receivable gap of -4.99 billion liras.

For Fenerbahçe, 4.26 billion liras in receivables have been recorded against a total debt of 8.63 billion liras, resulting in a net debt-receivable gap of -4.37 billion liras.

For Trabzonspor, there are 1.8 billion liras in receivables against a total debt of 4.66 billion liras, and the net debt-receivable gap is -2.86 billion liras.

11 BILLION LIRA DEFICIT

While the 'Big Four' have announced their balance sheets for the first 3 months of the season (June, July, August), the need for 11 billion liras in funding for the remaining 9 months is noteworthy.

Although Fenerbahçe reported a profit of 0.91 billion liras in its first 3-month balance sheet of the season, it is the club in need of the most funding for the remainder of the season.

The yellow-navy club, which has liabilities of 5.18 billion liras and receivables of 1.78 billion liras for this period, has a "deficit" of 3.4 billion liras.

Galatasaray has 2.74 billion liras in receivables against 5.9 billion liras in debt, and requires 3.16 billion liras in funding.
