Alanyaspor signs Paolo Fernandes from AEK on a 1-year loan

Corendon Alanyaspor has signed Paolo Fernandes, who plays for the Greek club AEK, on loan. A signing ceremony was held for the 28-year-old Spanish winger at the Cengiz Aydoğan Facilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Alanyaspor Club President Hasan Çavuşoğlu stated that Fernandes was added to the squad in line with the technical team's request. Çavuşoğlu thanked the AEK management and their former team captain Tzavellas for their support during the transfer process.

Çavuşoğlu said, "Hopefully, we completed this transfer with the hope that he will contribute to our club, especially since he is a player our coach wanted. We believe he will be very useful to our club. He is a successful footballer. Best of luck to both our club and Fernandes. Welcome to our team, welcome to our family."

Paolo Fernandes expressed his satisfaction with his transfer to Alanyaspor, stating, "I am really very happy to be here, I cannot wait to meet our fans and I want to help the team."

Fernandes mentioned that he also followed the Corendon Alanyaspor-Beşiktaş match played in Alanya. Sharing his first impressions of the Süper Lig, the Spanish footballer described the match as a "great victory."

The new signing said, "It is the first time I am watching a match in Turkey, and it was really great to witness such a match and to come up against a big club like Beşiktaş. I hope this is a great start."

Following the speeches, the contract binding Fernandes to the orange-green club was signed. Fernandes, who is an AEK player, played on loan for the Saudi Pro League team Al Khaleej last season.

The 28-year-old winger appeared in 31 official matches during his time at Al Khaleej and scored 6 goals. Fernandes is expected to contribute to Alanyaspor's attacking line.
