Business selling a single ice cream cone for 10 Euros shut down

A mobile ice cream and fruit juice business operating in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya has been shut down due to violations discovered during inspections following a complaint that 10 Euros was demanded from a customer for a single ice cream cone.

10 EURO DEMAND TRIGGERED INSPECTION

According to a statement from the Muratpaşa District Governorate, 10 Euros was requested from a customer in exchange for one ice cream cone. A dispute arose between the parties after the customer objected to the price. The incident was reported to the Muratpaşa District Police Department, the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Municipal Police teams, and the Provincial Directorate of Trade.

Following the complaint, an inspection was carried out at the business by the relevant institutions.

NUMEROUS VIOLATIONS DETECTED

The inspections determined that the business did not comply with hygiene and cleanliness rules, used dual labeling, and demanded exorbitant prices from customers during sales.

It was also determined that the business created noise at a level that disturbed the environment and engaged in touting.

OPERATIONS TERMINATED

The Muratpaşa District Governorate announced that, in line with the violations identified during the inspections, the operations of the mobile ice cream and fruit juice business have been suspended to ensure that commercial activities are conducted in accordance with regulations and based on the principle of trust.
