The incident occurred at the 5-story Şar Patisserie building on Hükümet Street in the Süleymanpaşa district. Flames quickly engulfed the building in a fire that started on the top floor for reasons yet to be determined. As smoke covered the sky, citizens in the vicinity experienced great panic, and local shopkeepers and residents poured into the streets.
Upon notification, numerous fire and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The teams intervened quickly and brought the fire under control. The cause of the fire, which caused damage to the building, is being investigated.
