Şebap pigeons sold for the price of an apartment go on display: Prices are jaw-dropping
Breeders from different provinces of Turkey and abroad showcased their birds at the Şebap pigeon exhibition held in Erzurum. It was stated that the value of some pigeons at the event, which was attended by approximately 200 people, reached up to 5 million TL.
At the Şebap pigeon exhibition in Erzurum, where breeders from approximately 40 different cities participated, pigeons with prices ranging from 100 thousand TL to 5 million TL were displayed. It was noted that some pigeons find buyers for the price of a house or a car.
Şebap pigeons, which have an international following of breeders and have spread to about 8 countries, primarily in Europe, as well as Saudi Arabia, were showcased at the event held in Erzurum.
The "Turkey Meets in Erzurum" Şebap Pigeon Exhibition was organized by the Erzurum Şebap Pigeon Breeders Association, which operates under the Şebap Pigeon Federation, at the Erzurum In-Service Training Institute. Participants from Germany and England also took part in the exhibition, which was attended by breeders from various provinces of Turkey.

In the event, which was attended by approximately 200 people, breeders from Erzurum also exhibited their pigeons. Various awards were given to the breeders of the prize-winning birds.
While festivals are organized across Turkey every season by the Şebap Pigeon Federation, exhibitions are held in cities at intervals of one or two months.

"WE HAVE BIRDS SOLD FOR THE PRICE OF A HOUSE, THE PRICE OF A CAR"
Necmettin Budak, President of the Şebap Pigeon Federation, stated that the federation aims to protect and breed the Şebap pigeon race, and that they organize exhibitions in different provinces of Turkey and a festival every year.
Stating that Turkey's most beautiful birds and their breeders are determined at the festivals, Budak expressed that awards are given to those who rank.
Pointing out that Şebap pigeons require careful maintenance and meticulous feeding, Budak stated that there was participation from Germany and England in the Erzurum exhibition, in addition to different regions of Turkey.
Budak noted that the value of the pigeons is high, saying, "Our birds range from 100 thousand TL to 5 million TL. That is, according to the old price, it goes up to 5 trillion. We have birds sold for the price of a house, the price of a car."
