It was reported that proceedings have been initiated against Varol, who was detained under the instruction of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, for the crime of "insulting a public official due to their duty."
It is understood that after his procedures at the police station, Varol is expected to be brought before the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on September 13.

Varol, who has a large following on TikTok, had drawn backlash on social media due to his remarks directed at the police during the live broadcast. The process initiated after the footage spread has resulted in his detention.
