Yücel Balkanlı wins YENİ Party Edirne Provincial Presidency primary

Yücel Balkanlı wins YENİ Party Edirne Provincial Presidency primary

The current founding Provincial President Yücel Balkanlı won the primary election held ahead of the congress for the YENİ Party Edirne Provincial Presidency. With this result, Balkanlı became the sole candidate for the upcoming provincial congress.

In the primary election held with the participation of members at the Atatürk Cultural Center, ballot boxes were also set up in the districts. Members cast their votes to determine their candidates in the provincial presidency race.

According to the election results, Yücel Balkanlı received 2 thousand 611 votes. Among Balkanlı's rivals, Cumhur Pekdemir remained at 1 thousand 901 votes, while Alp Üzmen received 496 votes.

Speaking after the results were announced, Balkanlı thanked the members. Balkanlı stated that the winner of the primary was Edirne.
