5.6 magnitude earthquake in Japan
A 5.6 magnitude earthquake has occurred off the coast of Aomori Prefecture in Japan.
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 occurred off the coast of Aomori Prefecture. It was stated that the tremor, which occurred off the eastern coast of Aomori at 01:17 local time, took place at a depth of 40 kilometers, while coastal rtsunami warning for the regionswas not issued. According to initialreports, the earthquake did not causeany loss of life orproperty.
The German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) announced that the earthquake was also felt in Japan's northern Hokkaido prefecture.announced.
