A large number of hand grenades and ammunition were seized inside a backpack found in a forest in Germany. Bomb disposal teams destroyed the hand grenades in a controlled manner.
A backpack was found by a person who went mushroom picking in a forest in the Mengede district of Dortmund. A large amount of ammunition was seized from inside the bag.
According to a statement made by the Dortmund police, it was determined that the backpack contained numerous hand grenades, a mortar shell, a wooden magazine cover, and bullets.
Bomb disposal teams destroyed the hand grenades in a controlled manner.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
