Footage of Italian Prime Minister Meloni from her youth has emerged

Footage of Giorgia Meloni, the Italian politician who has served as Prime Minister of Italy since 2022 and is the first woman to hold this position, filmed in the 1990s has become a topic of discussion on social media.

Numerous comments were made about this version of Meloni, who ranked fourth on Forbes' list of the world's most powerful women in 2023.

WHO IS GIORGIA MELONI?

Giorgia Meloni was born in Rome on January 15, 1977. She is an Italian journalist and a far-right, right-wing populist, and nationalist politician who serves as the Prime Minister of Italy, leader of the Brothers of Italy, a nationalist conservative political party in Italy, and president of the European Conservatives and Reformists Party. Meloni also served as Minister of Youth in Silvio Berlusconi's fourth government and as president of Young Italy, the youth wing of The People of Freedom.

She is a co-founder of the right-wing Brothers of Italy party along with Guido Crosetto and Ignazio La Russa, and was elected party president on March 8, 2014. She has been a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies since 2006.

Meloni has frequently been accused of xenophobia and Islamophobia; she claims that the Italian government supports illegal immigrants, supports the far-right and white nationalist conspiracy theory known as the "Great Replacement," and believes that there is a planned mass displacement from Africa to Europe to reduce the Italian population.

In 2022, she also faced criticism for some of her stances on vaccines and COVID-19, such as not having her daughter vaccinated and claiming that the probability of someone aged 0-19 dying from COVID-19 is the same as being struck by lightning.

She describes herself as a Catholic Christian and a conservative.
