Iran: We shot down a US warplane
The Iran-US conflict, which has now passed the one-month mark, continues with reports of new clashes. Most recently, Iran announced that it had shot down a US warplane.
According to a statement by the Revolutionary Guard Corps reported in local media, air defense systems intercepted "an advanced warplane belonging to the US and Israel" south of Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf.
The statement, which noted that the struck aircraft crashed into the Persian Gulf, did not provide further details.
Meanwhile, Iranian State Television broadcast footage of the moment the warplane was struck.
