Iranian media: Iranian military attacked a US warship
While Iranian media claims that the Iranian military carried out an attack on a US warship in the Sea of Oman, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has denied these allegations.
Iranian media has alleged that the Iranian military carried out an attack on a US warship in the Sea of Oman. In a report by Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency, it was claimed that the Iranian Navy targeted a US warship detected approaching the country's territorial waters in the Sea of Oman. The report also stated that the vessel in question contained a "command and control center."
According to the allegations, the attack was carried out on the grounds that the US was violating regulations in the Strait of Hormuz and taking actions against Iranian commercial vessels in the region.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has denied these allegations. In a statement released by CENTCOM, it was stated, "Iran is lying. US military assets at sea continue to fly, sail, and operate safely and freely."
