Second attack on US-led coalition base in Erbil
It has been reported that a bomb-laden unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) targeting the US-led anti-ISIS coalition base near Erbil International Airport in Erbil, Iraq, has been shot down.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Counter-Terrorism Directorate released a statement regarding the incident on its official Facebook account.
SECOND ATTACK
The statement indicated that the bomb-laden UAV targeting the coalition base near Erbil International Airport was shot down at 18:50 local time, and that the attack was carried out by "illegal militias."

FREQUENT ATTACKS ON COALITION FORCES CONTINUE
The group known as the "Islamic Resistance in Iraq," which includes pro-Iranian Shiite militias, frequently announces that it carries out attacks on bases housing US and US-led coalition forces "in response to the attacks in Gaza."
Within this context, the Ain al-Asad Airbase in Anbar, the Harir Airbase in Erbil, the Victory Military Base in Baghdad, and the US base near Erbil International Airport have been targeted multiple times with bomb-laden UAVs.
