US President Donald Trump has responded to claims that large-scale attack plans against Iran were postponed due to warnings regarding the US military's inventory of interceptor missiles.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Trump stated that there are no issues with ammunition stocks, saying, "We have more ammunition than anyone else in the world and much more than we need."
NYT AMMUNITION STOCK CLAIM
The New York Times (NYT), citing government sources, alleged that Trump postponed planned comprehensive attacks on Iran following warnings that the US military's stock of interceptor missiles could be depleted. The report claimed that concerns regarding ammunition stocks were raised by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine.
