Trump reveals condition for F-35 deal with Turkey: Erdoğan must do something for us first

Responding to journalists' questions about the meeting with Erdoğan, specifically 'Can you reach an agreement on the F-35s?', Trump said, "We can easily reach an agreement with Turkey on the F-35s, but first Erdoğan needs to do something for us."

US President Trump evaluated his meeting with President Erdoğan at the White House today while signing an executive order regarding TikTok in the Oval Office.

Trump emphasized that his meeting with Erdoğan went very well and stated that they made progress on many issues during their discussions.

US President Trump remarked, "We had a great meeting with President Erdoğan today. I think we had a very productive discussion on many different topics, they were very good. He is a very respected President, we spent time together, had lunch, and had good talks on many issues."

When asked, 'Did Erdoğan say he would stop buying Russian oil?', Trump replied, "I don't want to say anything about that. But if I want him to, he will do it. I didn't tell him 'Okay, stop buying oil from them,' but I think he will stop. Do you know why? Because there are many other places he can get it from. Turkey has many options. Erdoğan is a great President, a very smart man. He will do the right thing."
