Trump's call to Israelis ahead of critical election

U.S. President Donald Trump has once again declared his support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ahead of the elections to be held in Israel on Tuesday, October 27.

Addressing Israeli voters on his social media account, Trump argued that Netanyahu is a “good prime minister.” In his post, Trump stated, “When you go to the polls, please remember that Bibi is an extraordinary warrior prime minister. Vote for Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, we must finish the job we started.”

Trump's statement was evaluated as an explicit message of support for Netanyahu shortly before the elections in Israel. The U.S. President had also stated the previous week that he gave his full support to Netanyahu.

In contrast, U.S. Vice President JD Vance had previously stated in a statement that he did not intend to interfere in the Israeli elections or make statements of support in favor of Netanyahu.
