Trump signs executive order renaming Lake Ontario

U.S. President Donald Trump held a new signing ceremony at the White House. Having renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America" last year, President Trump signed an executive order at the White House ceremony changing the name of Lake Ontario, which is shared with Canada, to "Lake America." In his statement regarding the decree, which instructs U.S. institutions to change the official name of Lake Ontario, Trump said, "This decision is official and has taken effect immediately."

Recalling the name change of the Gulf of Mexico, Trump said, "Now everyone calls it the Gulf of America. We have a gulf and a lake now. Now we need an ocean. Maybe we will change the name of the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean too," he remarked.

When asked how the trade tension with Canada would affect the cost of living in the U.S., Donald Trump replied, "Ultimately, I think this will be very good for us. Because we lose an average of 62 billion dollars a year because of Canada. If you examine it in detail, you will see that we are losing even more than that. This is a lot, a lot. We cannot sustain this loss. We don't want to lose anymore."

"Putin will not attack a NATO country"

When asked whether Russian President Vladimir Putin had agreed or committed not to attack a NATO country, Trump said, "I had a good conversation with him. He will not attack a NATO country."

When asked if CIA Director John Ratcliffe would convey a warning to Russia regarding not attacking NATO territory, the U.S. President commented, "I don't want to comment on that, but they will not attack."

"We have offered to provide Nepal with any help they need"

When asked for his assessment regarding Americans missing in Nepal following the disaster there, Trump said, "It is a terrible thing. We called Nepal and offered to provide any help they need. This is a very terrible disaster. It consists of a mixture of mud and water, and it is the kind of thing that has never been seen before."

Trump added, "There were 50, maybe 60 Americans in Nepal. We haven't received the full list yet, but I hope they are okay. But the images are quite bad. Unfortunately, it is likely that some have lost their lives."

"Iran cannot pay its soldiers' salaries right now"
