RUSSIA'S RESPONSE TO SANCTIONS

Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyev argued that his country has learned to cope with sanctions and that no sanctions can stop Russia.

Tsivilyev stated that Western energy companies want to return to Russia but are hesitant due to the sanctions, emphasizing that Russia can maintain its technological independence and has become more conscious about ensuring its own security.

The European Union also announced that it has reached an agreement on new sanctions targeting Russia's energy, transport, trade, and finance sectors.
