Various European countries issue travel warnings to citizens for Israel

As concerns grow within the international community regarding a potential US military operation against Iran, several European countries have taken steps to ensure the safety of their citizens due to the possibility that the Tehran administration might retaliate against Israel if such an event occurs. The German Federal Foreign Office has updated its travel and security warnings for Israel.

The statement on the ministry's website said, "German citizens are strongly advised against traveling to Israel and East Jerusalem." The statement, which provides the latest updates on developments in the region and lists what German citizens should do in emergencies, noted that the security situation in the region is becoming increasingly unstable.

The statement emphasized that public order incidents could occur if tensions escalate. It stated, "The security situation in the region is tense and becoming increasingly unstable. In the event of an escalation of tensions, public order incidents could occur in Israel and the Palestinian territories without prior notice. Furthermore, disruptions in air traffic should be expected at any time; flights may be canceled, and prolonged airspace closures may also be possible." The statement also reported that Germany is closely monitoring developments through its Embassy in Tel Aviv.

Countries including France and the UK have warned their citizens not to travel to Israel unless necessary due to the potential for conflict between Iran and the US. The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on Italian citizens in Iran to leave the country, while also warning its citizens in Israel to exercise high caution in light of the developments.

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on its citizens to leave Iran, Israel, and Lebanon immediately due to rising tensions in the Middle East. The ministry's statement said, "The security situation in the Middle East is unstable. There is a high risk of an escalation of violence. Airspace for civil air traffic may be closed. Returning by air may become impossible or severely hindered."
