Major recall for Hyundai, Toyota, Jaguar Land Rover, and Volvo: Safety warning for nearly 300,000 vehicles

Large-scale recall decisions have come to the fore due to technical issues identified in some popular models from global automotive manufacturers. It has been reported that nearly 300,000 vehicles in total, covering different models from Hyundai, Toyota, Jaguar Land Rover, and Volvo, will be directed to service centers.

Fire risk stands out in a significant portion of the recalls. It is stated that the malfunctions identified, particularly in Hyundai and Toyota models, necessitate urgent safety measures for vehicle owners.

Recall decisions have brought safety checks covering a large number of vehicles to the agenda.

WHICH MODELS ARE AFFECTED?

On the Hyundai side, approximately 95,000 vehicles from the 2015-2016 Genesis and 2017-2020 Genesis G80 series have been included in the recall. It was stated that the electric front seat control buttons in these vehicles can get stuck, which may lead to overheating in the seat motors.

It was expressed that the issue could cause a fire risk while the vehicle is in use or even when the engine is off. Authorities warned that until the permanent repair process is completed, these vehicles should be parked in open areas, away from buildings and other automobiles. It was also reported that new and used sales, as well as rental transactions, have been suspended for these models.

Automobile manufacturers are initiating a service process for models that pose a safety risk.

Toyota is also recalling over 105,000 vehicles from the 2024-2027 Land Cruiser Hybrid series. It was noted that the pipe connection near the fuel tank in these vehicles could come loose, which could lead to a fuel leak and a fire if it comes into contact with a spark. It was stated that fuel pipes will be replaced with more durable clamps at service centers.

On the Jaguar Land Rover front, a recall decision was made for approximately 94,000 Range Rover models. It was reported that in these vehicles, water can reach the rearview mirror camera due to insufficient drainage holes, which could obstruct the rear view and increase the risk of an accident.

Volvo's recall list includes approximately 10,000 electric EX30 models. It was determined that in these vehicles, the headrest cushions could detach in the event of an accident and lead to passenger injury. It was reported that an emergency maintenance process has been initiated for the relevant models.

Vehicle owners are advised to follow the official announcements of the brands and authorized service notifications to check whether their vehicles are covered by the recall.
