Transfer claim from pro-government media: 3 more CHP municipalities to switch to AKP

Sabah columnist Mahmut Övür, in his column today where he shared insider information regarding mayors preparing to leave the CHP and join the AKP, wrote: "The possibility of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay joining the AK Party is being discussed. It will be clear today or tomorrow. Similarly, in Istanbul, CHP's Tuzla Mayor Eren Ali Bingöl, Çekmeköy Mayor Orhan Çerkez, and Şile Deputy Mayor Sacit Terzi are switching to the AK Party this weekend. It is also being discussed that Eyüpsultan Mayor Dr. Mithat Bülent Özmen will switch as well." 

Övür assessed, "When the New Party was established with 91 deputies, all eyes turned to the mayors. How many of the CHP's more than 400 mayors will go to the New Party, and how many will remain in the CHP? The question is being wondered, but there is another situation that should be wondered even more. Some of the CHP mayors are not only not staying in the CHP, but they are also not going to the New Party; on the contrary, they are joining the ruling AK Party." 

Sharing the insider information, Övür wrote the following:

"New surprise switches are expected from Istanbul and İzmir. For example, the possibility of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cemil Tugay joining the AK Party has been discussed for a while. It will be clear today or tomorrow.

Similarly, in Istanbul, CHP's Tuzla Mayor Eren Ali Bingöl, Çekmeköy Mayor Orhan Çerkez, and Şile Deputy Mayor Sacit Terzi are switching to the AK Party this weekend. It is also being discussed that Eyüpsultan Mayor Dr. Mithat Bülent Özmen will switch as well."
