Artist Bedri Baykam announced that his uncle, Dr. Ferit Baykam, has passed away. In a post on his social media account, Baykam offered his condolences to his family and stated, "Our grief is great."
Bedri Baykam's statement is as follows:
"We lost my dear uncle, Dr. Ferit Baykam, today in Milan in his mid-90s. Our grief is great. I offer my condolences to his beloved wife, my aunt Engin Baykam, my dear cousins Hakan Baykam and Gökhan Baykam, and all members of the Baykam family. May he rest in peace. Older generations will remember his poetry records from about 60 years ago and the program 'Poems in the Voice of Ferit Baykam' that was broadcast on the radio... We have lost a beautiful person who was deeply in love with his wife, loved his children very much, and was romantic and patriotic."
Stating that Ferit Baykam passed away in Milan in his mid-90s, Bedri Baykam recalled that his uncle had released poetry records in the past and appeared before listeners with a program titled "Poems in the Voice of Ferit Baykam" on the radio.
