Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that this funding was provided in coordination with the US Department of the Treasury, the Department of State, and the United States Agency for International Development. Stating that the donation will be directed toward humanitarian and social programs, Shmyhal said, "This is a critical investment for Ukraine's resilience and global security."
Furthermore, the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance announced that as of 2024, direct budget support from Western allies has reached a total of 28.2 billion dollars.
