2026 figures for social support payments announced
Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş has shared the new amounts for social assistance payments with the public following the salary coefficient increase for civil servants. The 2026 figures for support provided to families, children, and those with specific medical conditions have been finalized.
Following the increase in the civil servant salary coefficient, the payment amounts for many social assistance programs have been raised. In her statement, Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the home care assistance has been increased to 13 thousand 878 liras for the new year. The monthly payment amount under the scope of social and economic support has become 9 thousand 723 liras.
On the other hand, the average monthly amount of foster family support paid per child has been raised to 15 thousand 533 liras as of 2026. The monthly payment provided to citizens suffering from severe silicosis has also been updated to 14 thousand 42 liras.
These updated social assistance payments aim to provide greater support to groups in need in the face of economic conditions. In the statement made by the Ministry, it was reported that the new amounts will be deposited into the accounts of the beneficiaries in the next payment period.
