4 people detained in connection with the death of Meltem Menteşeli

A woman lost her life in an armed attack that occurred in the Hisar neighborhood of the Bozdoğan district in Aydın.

The incident came to light after neighborhood residents heard gunshots and reported them to the gendarmerie. Gendarmerie teams dispatched to the scene upon the report found a woman who had been shot with a firearm next to a car.

Medical teams determined that the woman had passed away during their examination.

The teams identified the deceased woman as 33-year-old Meltem Menteşeli. As a result of the investigations at the scene, it was learned that the vehicle belonged to Menteşeli's husband, R.M.

Meltem Menteşeli's funeral was brought to the Karabağlar Neighborhood Mosque following procedures at the Bozdoğan State Hospital. The funeral was laid to rest in the Bozdoğan Neighborhood Cemetery after the afternoon prayer held in the mosque courtyard. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
