AKP's Hayati Yazıcı first defended, then deleted YSK's Van decision
AKP Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı deleted his post regarding the Supreme Election Council's (YSK) decision to grant the Van Metropolitan Municipality mandate, which had been given to the AKP candidate, to DEM Party candidate Abdullah Zeydan.
The Supreme Election Council (YSK), upon appeal, overturned the decision of the Van Provincial Election Board and ruled that the Van Metropolitan Municipality mandate, which had been given to the AKP candidate, should be granted to DEM Party candidate Abdullah Zeydan.
AKP Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı, in a post on his X account, supported the YSK's decision and stated, "The state of insanity that emerged on April 1st regarding the mayoral election in our province of Van has been ended by the accurate decision made by the YSK. I sincerely congratulate the High Council and its esteemed members."
Yazıcı deleted his post shortly after.
