The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has announced that 6 soldiers were martyred and 1 soldier was wounded in a clash with terrorists in Northern Iraq.

In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that 13 terrorists were also neutralized.

MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE ANNOUNCES THE PAINFUL NEWS

The written statement made by the Ministry is as follows:

"In the Operation Claw-Lock region, six of our heroic comrades-in-arms were martyred and one of our heroic comrades-in-arms was wounded in a clash with terrorists attempting to infiltrate one of our base areas on December 23, 2023.

According to initial reports, 13 terrorists have been neutralized in the clash. Contact continues in the region. Sudden air operations are also being carried out against identified targets.

We wish God's mercy upon our dear martyrs who lost their lives in this incident that has plunged us into deep pain and sorrow, and we extend our condolences and patience to their grieving families, the Turkish Armed Forces, and our noble nation, and we wish a speedy recovery to our wounded soldier."

WE HAVE HAD 12 MARTYRS IN NORTHERN IRAQ SINCE YESTERDAY

The Ministry of National Defense had announced in a statement yesterday that 6 soldiers were martyred in an attack carried out by members of the separatist terrorist organization in northern Iraq. It was stated that 7 terrorists were neutralized in air operations carried out in the escape directions of the terrorists. In the last 24 hours, 12 of our soldiers have been martyred in the Operation Claw-Lock region.
