Body of missing Alzheimer's patient found in Tigris River
Following search efforts to locate an Alzheimer's patient who went missing in Diyarbakır, his body has been recovered from the Tigris River.
In the vicinity of the Tigris River in the Hantepe neighborhood of the central Yenişehir district, search efforts initiated following reports that Alzheimer's patient Şeyhmus Ç. had been missing since May 16 continued today with a 44-person team, including 12 search and rescue technicians, 4 divers, 5 Silvan Municipality personnel, and 6 Kulp Municipality personnel, utilizing 4 search and rescue vehicles, boats, and drones.
As a result of the teams' efforts, the body of Şeyhmus Ç. was found in the Tigris River.
The body, recovered from the river, will be taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy by medical teams following an examination at the scene.
