Sharing his resignation decision with the public, Çuhadar emphasized that he had made an effort to maintain a principled stance under difficult conditions on behalf of the party he represented in the political arena throughout his tenure, stating, "During my time in office, together with the management and members I walked this path with, I made an effort to maintain a principled stance under difficult conditions on behalf of the party I represented in the political arena. I was never like a poplar tree swaying according to populist winds."
"Millions of liras in public resources were used for personal interests"
Addressing the allegations and the judicial process regarding Tanju Özcan, Çuhadar stated, "The public has learned of Tanju Özcan's immoral relationships, which wound the conscience of society and our family values, through his own court confessions and statements. Furthermore, it has been openly revealed through the confessions of his own deputies and the first-degree officials he appointed that they used millions of liras in public resources for their own interests."
"My clear views were not taken into account, this situation is unacceptable"
Stating that his own views were ignored during this process and criticizing the attitude of Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ toward Tanju Özcan, Çuhadar said, "The fact that an imprisoned mayor, who is responsible for this team that stole Bolu's future, is persistently accepted as acceptable for whatever purpose by the chairman of the political party where I serve as provincial chair, the insistence on the idea that the individual's imprisonment is political, and the fact that my clear views on this matter were not taken into consideration have become completely unacceptable for me. For this reason, I hereby inform the esteemed public that I am resigning from my position as Zafer Party Bolu Provincial Chair and from my party membership in the name of principled politics."
