Bus plunges into ditch on Erzincan-Sivas highway! Driver loses life
A passenger bus overturned into a ditch at the Sakaltutan location on the Erzincan-Sivas highway. The bus driver lost his life in the accident, and 20 people were injured. Numerous ambulances and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene. It was reported that the accident occurred due to the bus, which was transporting a funeral, suffering a brake failure.
Upon notification, numerous ambulances, fire department, AFAD, and search and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
INJURED TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
The injured were sent to Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Mengücek Gazi Training and Research Hospital and other hospitals in the city. Snowfall is affecting the highway where the accident occurred.
Governor Hamza Aydoğdu stated that a bus accident occurred at the Sakaltutan location, saying, "It was bringing a funeral from Istanbul and the bus tipped over on its side."
Aydoğdu stated that all the injured had been transported to hospitals, adding, "27 people were injured in the accident. The driver's condition is critical, while the others are generally in good health. I wish our injured a speedy recovery. Despite the adverse weather conditions, all our teams reached the scene in a short time and intervened in the accident."
DRIVER LOSES LIFE
The bus driver, who was seriously injured in the accident, died, while 20 people were injured. The injured were taken to hospitals in Erzincan by ambulances dispatched to the scene of the accident. The treatment of the injured continues.
