Striking details from CHP's Günaydın on Pehlivan's arrest process: 'He called him into his office and spoke'

Mehmet Pehlivan, the lawyer for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, was arrested and sent to prison yesterday evening.
Details regarding the arrest process, which has caused widespread repercussions in Turkey, were shared by CHP MP Gökhan Günaydın.
Günaydın stated that Pehlivan was invited to the courthouse by the prosecutor's office and that a meeting lasting about an hour took place there. Conveying that the prosecutor told Pehlivan, "We are going to arrest you," Günaydın expressed that the process was not fair.
WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE ARREST PROCESS
Stating that Pehlivan's family waited in front of the courthouse following his arrest, Günaydın said that Pehlivan was taken out through the back door as if he were being smuggled away.
He also added that an attempt was made to force him to sign a document stating, "I have met with my family," even though he had not met with his family.
Pehlivan was handcuffed and taken to Metris Prison, and was transported to Çorlu around 02:00 at night. It was stated that Pehlivan remained handcuffed throughout this entire process.
