CHP to refer Hasbi Dede to disciplinary board
The CHP will refer Görele Mayor Hasbi Dede to the disciplinary board following his arrest in connection with a sexual harassment investigation.
The Central Executive Board (MYK) has added the request to refer Hasbi Dede to the High Disciplinary Board with precautionary measures to the agenda of its next meeting.
Görele Mayor Hasbi Dede had been summoned to testify as part of an ‘investigation launched upon a complaint’ and was initially released with a travel ban, but was summoned again following an objection by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Dede was arrested by the judgeship after his second testimony.
It was learned that Hasbi Dede was arrested on allegations of ‘sexually harassing’ a young girl via social media.
"ALLEGATION OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF A 16-YEAR-OLD CHILD"
The investigation file states that Dede allegedly harassed a 16-year-old girl by sending her messages, and the act is being evaluated under the scope of “sexual harassment against a child by taking advantage of the convenience provided by electronic communication tools.”
