We must first be united for the championship
Fenerbahçe is not just a football club; it is a shared passion for millions of people and a great value carried from the past into the future. However, there is an important question we must ask ourselves today: Are we moving Fenerbahçe forward, or are we consuming it from within without realizing it? After a long conversation about Fenerbahçe with my dear friend Uzay Yüksek, we focused on these issues:
The sporting disappointments experienced in recent years, the negative atmosphere created on social media, and the financial burden our club faces make it necessary for all of us to think more realistically.
THE NEGATIVE ATMOSPHERE CREATED BY SOCIAL MEDIA
When we look at the comments made about Fenerbahçe on social media today, we see that criticism often ceases to be constructive. A player is written off after a few bad matches, a coach begins to be questioned at the first loss of points, and every decision by the management is subjected to harsh criticism before its results are even seen.
Of course, there will be criticism. But creating a constant perception of failure through criticism is not the same thing. I won't even get into the commentators or so-called journalists.
Creating a new atmosphere of crisis every week over a team we want to see become champion does not make the path to success any easier.
FACING FINANCIAL REALITIES
The financial burden Fenerbahçe carries today is not just an issue for the current management, but for the future of the club. Debts accumulated from the past to the present, high-cost transfers, and long-term contracts limit our economic room for maneuver.
It is a contradiction in itself to demand world-famous stars on one hand while complaining about the debt burden on the other.
We now need a Fenerbahçe that does not just make expensive transfers, but one that uses its resources correctly, develops players, and generates sustainable income.
We must not mortgage the Fenerbahçe of tomorrow for the sake of today's success.
OUR PRIORITY MUST BE THE SÜPER LİG CHAMPIONSHIP
The Champions League is an important goal worthy of Fenerbahçe's greatness. However, while dreaming of success in Europe, we must not push the Süper Lig championship, which we have longed for for years, into the background.
Our priority today must be to build a stable and competitive team that regains the habit of winning championships.
Lasting success in Europe will also only be possible with a strong sporting and economic structure.
We cannot guarantee success by rebuilding the squad every season, constantly changing coaches, or pushing our economic limits.
PATIENCE IS NOT ACCEPTING FAILURE
It is impossible not to understand the disappointment our fans have experienced for years. However, showing patience does not mean accepting failure. Patience means giving the right planning a chance and not tearing down the entire system with every negative result.
Of course, the management must also present a transparent, accountable, and consistent approach in return.
We must not forget that coaches and players change. Fenerbahçe remains.
What Fenerbahçe needs today is not more debate, more polarization, and more decisions that just save the day.
What we need is financial discipline, sporting stability, a common mind, and a community focused on the goal of a championship.
Let us criticize, let us question, let us hold them accountable. But while doing so, let us not consume the strength of our own club.
We did not love Fenerbahçe only when it won. But now we must transform our love into the construction of a strong Fenerbahçe that can win again.
First the Süper Lig championship, then sustainable European success. Above all else, Fenerbahçe.
