Constitutional Court decides to file criminal complaint against Saadet Party

The Constitutional Court stated that the Saadet Party failed to establish a record and documentation system that would allow for the accountability of its 2023 final accounts, and decided to file a criminal complaint with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for legal action to be taken.

The decisions included the audit of the Saadet Party's accounts.

Following the examination of the Saadet Party's 2023 final accounts, the Constitutional Court noted that a record and documentation system that would allow for accountability to the Constitutional Court had not been established.

Noting that this situation constituted actions aimed at preventing the examination and investigation of income and expenses outside of the accounts, the Constitutional Court decided to file a criminal complaint with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for legal action to be taken.

The Constitutional Court unanimously decided that it was not possible to accept the party's 2023 accounts, as the audit of the Saadet Party Headquarters' accounts could not be carried out.
