The General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs has announced that the validity period for old-style driver's licenses issued before 2016 will end on July 31, 2025. In the statement, citizens were urged to book appointments early to complete their transactions before congestion occurs.

The following statement was shared on the Directorate's social media accounts:
"To avoid being affected by the application density at our population directorates in the coming days, you can make your applications as soon as possible by booking an appointment via Alo 199, http://randevu.nvi.gov.tr, or e-Devlet."

There are three easy appointment methods for citizens to replace their old-style driver's licenses with new-style ones:
Via the Alo 199 Call Center
Via the website http://randevu.nvi.gov.tr
By booking an online appointment through the e-Devlet system.
CONGESTION WARNING: DO NOT LEAVE IT TO THE LAST DAY
