An explosion occurred during a home pest control application in an apartment in the Efeler district of Aydın, leaving two people injured, one of them seriously.
An unexpected explosion occurred around 14:00 in an apartment on the top floor of a four-story building located on 1908 Street in the Hasanefendi-Ramazan Paşa neighborhood of the Efeler district. It was reported that the homeowner, Seher Özcan, had begun applying pesticide following a foul odor in the bathroom when the explosion took place.

Following the explosion, which occurred in the afternoon, the fire department quickly extinguished the burning washing machine, preventing a potentially larger disaster. After initial intervention, medical teams transported the injured to the hospital by ambulance. It was noted that Seher Özcan's condition is critical, while Karataş sustained less severe injuries.
Authorities have launched a detailed investigation into the cause of the explosion. It was reported that the home sustained significant damage.
