First hearing in Kahramanmaraş school attack case to be held on September 4
The defendants in the case regarding the attack that claimed 10 lives will appear before the judge on September 4, and their detention will continue.
The trial process is beginning in the case regarding the school attack in Kahramanmaraş, which resulted in 10 deaths and left many others injured.
The Kahramanmaraş 3rd High Criminal Court issued the preliminary proceedings report following the acceptance of the indictment prepared by the public prosecutor. The court decided that the first hearing will be held on Friday, September 4, at 09:00.

It was ruled that the detained defendants, Uğur Mersinli and Peyman Pınar Mersinli, will attend the hearing from prison via the SEGBİS video conferencing system. The court also decided that the defendants' detention shall continue.
Interim decisions regarding the collection of evidence were also made prior to the trial. The court requested that the complainants be notified of the hearing date and issued a warrant for the compulsory appearance of certain witnesses whose testimonies are to be taken.
Furthermore, information was requested from relevant health institutions to determine whether İsa Aras Mersinli, identified as the perpetrator of the attack, had received any psychological or psychiatric treatment in the past.
With the first hearing, the case will enter a new phase in terms of both taking the defendants' statements and evaluating the testimonies of the complainants and witnesses.
