The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has referred 297 coaches to the Professional Football Discipline Committee (PFDK) on the grounds that they engaged in betting.
Following an investigation into coaches working outside the Süper Lig, it was decided to refer those identified as having engaged in betting to the PFDK.
A surprising name was among the coaches determined to have engaged in betting.
Serkan Damla, who serves as an assistant to Vincenzo Montella on the A National Team, is among the individuals referred to the PFDK as part of the betting investigation.
If evidence emerges confirming that Serkan Damla engaged in betting, the penalty to be imposed by the PFDK will be determined.
Damla is expected to receive a suspension of at least 45 days and up to 12 months.
