Testimony of suspect who tortured 2-year-old baby revealed: Details of the torture are blood-curdling!

A domestic violence case in the Sarayköy district of Denizli has deeply shaken Turkey. A 2-year-old baby named A.K. was brutally beaten by Süleyman Danış, the boyfriend of his mother, Satı Buse D., with whom she was living.

While bite marks, burns, bruises, and signs of battery were found on the baby, the child, who was hospitalized following the severe violence, is facing a risk of death.

BABY'S CONDITION IS CRITICAL, WILL BE TAKEN INTO STATE CUSTODY

When mother Satı Buse D. took the baby to Sarayköy State Hospital, medical staff noticed the horrific wounds on the small child's body. It was determined that his right eye was swollen shut, there was an open wound on his right arm, and there were signs of battery on various parts of his body.

Due to the life-threatening nature of his condition, A.K. was transferred to Pamukkale University Hospital. It was reported that the baby, who is scheduled to undergo surgery on his right eye, will be taken into state custody following his treatment.

The investigation revealed that the baby was not only beaten but also bitten on various parts of his body, subjected to attempted burning, and slammed against a wall.

Under the instructions of the prosecutor's office, both Süleyman Danış and the mother, Satı Buse D., were taken into custody. The mother of A.K., who clearly bore signs of torture, blamed everything on Süleyman Danış in her statement.

SUSPECT'S TESTIMONY REVEALED

According to a report by Ceylan Torlak from Sabah newspaper, the arrested Süleyman Danış denied the accusations in his statement to the police. Danış claimed that while he and his partner Satı Buse D. were drinking alcohol, A.K. came over to them and started crying, which made him angry and caused him to yell at the child a few times. Stating, "My intention was not to beat him, I was intoxicated, I don't remember what I did," Danış also held the mother responsible for the incident, saying, "Maybe the mother beat the child herself."

On the other hand, it was noted that Satı Buse D. had left Ankara to move in with Süleyman Danış, had experienced violence from time to time, and had previously filed complaints against her boyfriend. However, the investigation into whether the mother played a role in the torture the baby endured is ongoing. The suspect, Danış, was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
