A new claim regarding an appointment to the position of Press Consultant at the Ministry of Justice has come to the fore.

Journalist Kemal Öztürk stated in a post on his social media account that Yusuf Akın has been appointed to replace Furkan Torlak, who was reported to have been dismissed from his post.

TİP İstanbul MP Ahmet Şık had previously claimed that Furkan Torlak, whose name appeared in the statements of a confessor in the drug investigation in which Mehmet Akif Ersoy was arrested and who was known to be employed at the Ministry of Justice, had been dismissed.

No official statement has yet been made by the Ministry regarding the change in position.
