Horrific accident at a construction site in Maltepe: Worker falls into elevator shaft
Mustafa A., a 53-year-old worker at a construction site in Maltepe, Istanbul, lost his balance and fell from the 4th floor into an elevator shaft, dying at the scene. Following an examination by medical teams, Mustafa A.'s body was taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine morgue.
A worker who fell into an elevator shaft from the 4th floor of a construction site where he was working in Maltepe, Istanbul, has lost his life.
The incident occurred at a 4-story building nearing completion on Sakızlı Street in the Çınar neighborhood of Maltepe.
According to the information received, 53-year-old Mustafa A., who was pouring sand on the building's stairs, lost his balance on the 4th floor and fell into the elevator shaft.
Upon notification, fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the area. Medical teams arriving at the scene determined that Mustafa A. had passed away.
After police teams conducted an investigation at the scene, Mustafa A.'s body was taken to the Council of Forensic Medicine morgue. The building's contractor was taken to the police station to provide a statement. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
