İmamoğlu wishes success to the National Team: 'We were wronged, we will claim our rights on the pitch'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that the 2-match suspension given to Merih Demiral was unfair and wished our National Football Team success for the match against the Netherlands to be played tonight.
The Turkish National Football Team will face the Netherlands today at 22:00 in the EURO 2024 quarter-final match.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu shared a post on his social media account ahead of the national match.
Referring to the 2-match suspension given by UEFA to Merih Demiral, who celebrated the victory against Austria with a 'Grey Wolf' gesture, İmamoğlu said, "We were wronged, we will claim our rights on the pitch."
