The heavy rainfall that began in Istanbul during the evening hours continued to be effective throughout the night. As lightning flashed across various parts of the city along with the precipitation, a bolt of lightning struck the Çamlıca Tower in Üsküdar.
The sky lit up instantly at the moment the lightning hit the tower. Those moments were recorded by nearby cameras.
In the footage, the lightning can be seen descending toward the peak of the tower under heavy rain and a sky turned into shades of purple.
