'Live Broadcast and Renovation' debate at Üsküdar Municipality council meetings

YENİ Party Üsküdar District Chair Onur Cingil reacted to the current municipal administration in a statement made via his social media account.

Cingil emphasized that for the past 2.5 years, municipal council meetings had been broadcast live, allowing the entire public of Üsküdar to watch the process in an open and transparent manner.

Claiming that the current administration does not want the public to watch the council, Cingil stated that in addition to the cancellation of live broadcasts, the public gallery has also been kept closed for more than two months under the pretext of "renovations."

Criticizing the renovation work, Onur Cingil remarked, "A tarp has been thrown over two chairs, supposedly there is a renovation going on."

Reminding that he had previously called on municipal officials regarding the matter, District Chair Cingil questioned the administration's capacity to perform, asking, "How can a structure that cannot complete a renovation in two months manage this beautiful city?"

YENİ Party's Cingil made a notable offer to the municipality to ensure the public can watch the council meetings again and to ensure transparency, saying, "I can send two handymen, I can have the renovation done. As long as it is a service for our people, let our people watch the council."
