Man suffers mental breakdown, kills family and commits suicide: 5 dead

In an incident that occurred around 19:00 in the Hacı Ahmet neighborhood of Beyoğlu, 32-year-old Özgür Nayman killed his wife and 3 children before committing suicide with the same weapon.

Upon notification by neighbors who heard the gunshots, teams from the Beyoğlu District Police Department and the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch, as well as ambulances, were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arriving at the scene, the teams determined that 32-year-old Özgür Nayman, who had suffered a mental breakdown, killed his 40-year-old wife Sevilay Nayman, 9-year-old Özgür Buğra Nayman, 7-year-old Hazal Aras Nayman, and 4-year-old Çınar Ali Nayman.

HE COMMITTED SUICIDE WITH THE SAME WEAPON

Özgür Nayman, who killed his wife and 3 children, committed suicide with the same weapon. The teams' investigation at the scene is ongoing.
