The PKK terrorist organization's assassination unit chief, İlyas Biro Eli, has been neutralized in a MIT operation in northern Iraq.
MIT obtained intelligence that the terrorist in question provided personnel and material support for attacks against Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) bases in the region.
It was also determined that İlyas Biro Eli organized assassination plots targeting security forces and civilians, and selected the terrorists to carry out these acts.
The terrorist was included on the "priority list for neutralization."
The operation was launched after field agents obtained information that the terrorist was planning a new attack.
İlyas Biro Eli, codenamed "Çiya Fekir," and those accompanying him were neutralized in Sinjar.
